About Somerset Carers
Somerset Carers is a service commissioned by Somerset County Council.
This service was designed in collaboration with carers in Somerset.
Free support and information for carers just like you
Somerset Carers provides a carers support service that is available to all unpaid carers, whether you care for a few hours or a substantial amount.
They provide a telephone support service if you need to speak to someone who understands your situation. They can provide emotional support and practical advice to help you in your caring role. They can put you in touch with carer support networks and peer groups.
If you regularly look after someone in a caring capacity, the Somerset Carers can support you with advice and guidance. Caring for another person is very rewarding, but can be overwhelming and lonely at times.
Somerset Village Agents can link to you groups & events in your area, to find facts and information that will help the person you are caring for with their particular needs.
If you can’t find what you are looking for, contact us via our Live Chat, Advice Line or Text service.
Please note: This service is to support you as a carer. It does not replace assessed care and support provided by the local authority.
