Somerset has a Learning Disability Partnership Board (LDPB). People on the board want to work together to improve all services in Somerset for people with learning disabilities such as councils, health, police and other services. The board includes people with learning disabilities, carers and representatives from other organisations. The board meets 4 times a year.

If want to know more about LDPB please contact:

There are also local groups who meet together every month and share their experiences and views, we call these peer support groups. There are groups in Bridgwater, Frome, Taunton and Yeovil. These help people with learning disabilities in Somerset have a stronger voice and know more about staying healthy, being safe and living well. Members of the peer support groups also attend the Learning Disability Partnership Board sharing their views. You can read more about Our Voice Somerset.
