About Aspire with Steph
New service going live from 8th Feb 2021. Please call now to enquire and make bookings. Hello! My name is Steph and welcome to Aspire with Steph PA Services. I am a qualified and registered Social Worker with a 1 st Class BSC (Hons) Social Work, and have been in practice for just over 3 years. Since my qualification, I have been working in Adults Mental Health Social Care providing social care input and support to those in the community who are experiencing mental health illness. Previous to this, I was a support worker for adults with Learning Disabilities. I have in total approximately 10 years experience working in the Adults Health and Social Care Sector. I absolutely love my work, however I would now like to move away from my desk and get back out into the community to provide the personalised practical help, support and comfort people need. I love animals and have a bouncy Labradoodle and a rescue kitten. I also enjoy arts and crafts, knitting, crochet and sewing. Aspire with Steph is concentrated on person centered, customer directed help and support with a focus on facilitating a better quality of life and working towards hopes and aspirations. From befriending to more complex care needs, Aspire with Steph will listen to your wishes and work with yourself and your family to create a tailored support plan that will detail what you would like to gain from me, and how we can achieve this. I am able and competent to work with individuals with various and complex needs, including Mental Health. I am happy to consider specialist support with the correct guidance and training from qualified health professionals. Due to my role as a Social Worker, I am knowledgeable and experienced in Adult Safeguarding and working within the parameters of Mental Capacity Act, Best Interest and Deprivation of Liberty legislation. My services can include, but are in no way exclusive to: Regular company to support with isolation. Day to day domestic help – e.g. cleaning, shopping, helping with paperwork. Getting out and about – e.g. going into town, out for a walk, using public transport, attending appointments, attending activities or social groups. Home Care – e.g. personal care incl. meal preparation, toileting, washing and dressing, medication support ( NOTE: This must be requested in writing and GP notified – training may be required for some medications) . Dementia care – NOTE: If the individual receiving support is not able to arrange the care themselves, then a representative who is legally permitted to make care decisions on their behalf must be able to do this for them. Sitting service / respite – Can also include night sits / waking nights, or sleep in by special arrangement only to enable carer respite. Mental health social support. Development of independent living skills. Transitions support – 16 years plus transitioning to Adult Services. If you require a service I have not identified, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs and how I can help. Standard fees are £17.00 per hour, more specialist services can range up to £22.00 per hour. Bank Holidays are charged at time and a half (I will not be available every Bank Holiday – this can be discussed further). I do not offer 30 min visits as there is little that can be achieved in this space of time. However an extra 30 mins can be added to visits that are 1 hour or more if additional time is required at a cost of half the agreed hourly rate. My service is new and will support will be commencing from 8th February 2021. Please contact me now for enquiries, chats and meetings - online, or in person (COVID guidance depending) to see if I am the right person for yourself or your loved one.
