Free care that is arranged and funded by the NHS

Introduction

Introduction

NHS continuing healthcare – also known as NHS continuing care or ‘fully funded NHS care’ –  is free care that is arranged and funded by the NHS. This means that you will receive care and support to meet your assessed needs at no cost to you.

You must have a primary healthcare condition, assessed by a healthcare professional and they will tell you if you may be eligible.

Final eligibility is determined by a joint health and social care panel.

If you wish to apply for continuing healthcare, discuss it first with your health and social care worker, or contact
